Hundred Blossoms (百花, Bǎihuā) is an Esports team that debuted during the 2nd Season of the Glory Professional Alliance. The team is known for their Spitfire and Berserker duo. It had a playstyle called "Blood and Blossoms".
History[]
Team Hundred Blossoms is a strong contender in the Alliance, and has been runner-up three times, with their lowest placement being 10th place in Season 8.[1]
The team debuted in Season 2 with a dual core made up of their captain Sun Zheping playing the Berserker Blossoming Chaos, and Zhang Jiale using the Spitfire Dazzling Hundred Blossoms. Team Hundred Blossoms reached the finals in Season 3, but were defeated by Excellent Era. In Season 4, Hundred Blossoms was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Halfway through Season 5, Sun Zheping sustained an unexpected hand injury and could no longer continue playing. Zhang Jiale single-handedly brought Hundred Blossoms into the finals, but lost to Tiny Herb. Sun Zheping was unable to completely recover from his hand injury and retired at the end of the season.
Although Hundred Blossoms reached the playoffs in Season 7, with no outstanding Berserker to take Sun Zheping's place, the Blood and Blossoms style had to be abandoned and Blossoming Chaos became forgotten by the team's fans.[2]
After their team captain, Zhang Jiale, suddenly announced his retirement at the end of Season 7, the team entered a chaotic adjustment period in Season 8 and their performance suffered. They were unable to find a suitable successor for their core Spitfire character Dazzling Hundred Blossoms, and their core temporarily shifted to the Brawler Delilo while the team regained their balance.[1]
In Season 8, Blossom Valley gains an advantage against the professional club guilds, Blue Brook Guild, Tyrannical Ambition, and Herb Garden. With Zhang Jiale’s Dazzling Spring, Blossom Valley gains control of several wild boss spawns. Blossom Valley experiences a huge boost in power versus the other guilds.[3]
